Regal Ringneck Snake

Location:
Southwestern USA, Northern Mexico

Identification:
Usually larger and paler than other subspecies - gray with bluish, greenish, or slaty cast. Neck band sometimes faint or absent.

Other Information:
Ranges into the aspen-fir belt. Intergrades with Prarie Ringneck in central and west Texas, but the two forms tend to retain their identities in the Guadalupe Mountains on the Texas-New Mexico border.
